Located in National Park, this 40 year old Taipei apartment was surrounded by nature landscape but it was broken up into too many smaller spaces, obstructing sight lines. The brief was to transform this apartment into a flexible open space and connect the natural space outside with the internal space. Existing partition walls were removed and replaced with movable see-through bookcases in common areas which effectively defined the spaces without permanently separating those areas. Mild colour schemes and natural tones are used to create an apartment that feel more spacious.
