We believe that every design detail affects the living for the home owner. In this case, our main purpose is to abandon traditional styles and to mix simple contemporary styles as well as to highlight a certain subject, which is Zenism. In consideration of the opinion of the owner, we disregard the stereotypical traditional Chinese decorative patterns, and resort to the matching colours of materials to obtain the most appropriate zen sense. In terms of storage space, we meet every requirement of the owner, but not trivially. We believe that we have presented our client a fulfilling home.

Our client was looking to convert the tenement 2-storey apartment into a modern and contemporary living space. The initial interior design idea was originated from client's Zen belief, which then developed as the principal design. The use of black-iron metal and wood coloured decorations fulfilled the industrial yet rustic design for the apartment, which contrasts with the fish pond next to the stairway and the zenist paintings and decorations, in which the contrast gives us a refreshing presentation regarding the previous appearance of the apartment.
