Negative Arm chair

The first time you want to sit on “negative chair” you pause for a second thinking it is impossible to do so. When you look at it from the side, you see the outline of a chair that does not exist and when someone sits on the chair, you see the transformation of its shape and you get the impression that the seated person is suspended in space while feeling very comfortable since the chair will actually take the form of the body and supports it from all angles.

Alphabet Architects

Azadeh and Babak Shariati, Iranian sister and brother, both enjoy innovating new things. The duo’s work rule is to vivify foregoing values by keeping cultural and architectural roots of the design element. The main aspect of their design is to not follow the current trend, instead coming up with one. This helps them to come up with pure and new forms from an unspoiled space. The duo’s objective is not to only have an impact in architecture but also in different field of art such as painting, fashion design and furniture design.

Azadeh and Babak Shariati Behbahani

The term innovative best describes the work of Azadeh and Babak Shariati, sister and brother architects. After obtaining their masters degree in professional architecture and landscape design, each obtained valuable experience working in their respective fields of study and decided to join forces and establish Alphabet Architects in 2011, now a well established architectural firm in Iran winning two national architectural prizes. Besides their carrier in architecture, the Duo has been professionally working in other field of arts such as painting and fashion design. Azadeh and Babak success is mainly due to their view and vision in their designs, replacing ordinary element of a structure with showcasing personal and social behaviors by new aesthetic components.
