Gizem is a Istanbul based product and experience designer, who is thrilled to understand user by heart and build empathy, and turns collected insights into experience. She is currently responsible for User Experience Design at Garanti Technology – a technology company provides organizations of the Garanti brand with technology infrastructure, software development on different platforms, internet applications etc. Gizem is an undergraduate alumnus of the METU (Middle East Technical University) Department of Industrial Design, Ankara. Her portfolio includes design projects in an extensive variety of fields such as digital banking experiences, smart wearables, electrical appliances, household products, visual communication etc. Her work has been recognised by various international design competitions and national organisations such as A’ Design Award, World Design Impact Prize and TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey)

Gizem majored in industrial design in Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey in honors list. Through her studio courses and several internships, she undertook design projects in various fields such as interaction design, transportation, electrical appliances, furniture, outdoor, household products and graphic design, also collaborative and participatory works with international and national companies and associations. In addition, she believes that multidisciplinary work is an essential part of design process. Being a designer requires being able to work well in a group, accepts differences and make use of them.
