People have the perception that streets in Mumbai are foul smelling, dirty & unsafe. The design aims to change that by solving problems through usage flexibility & anti-sleeping form of the bench. All the furniture elements have an integrated light that allows the furniture to be seen in the dark even from a far distance at night, this helps in promoting street safety during the night. Overall, the design is aesthetically pleasing & provides a safe place for people to walk, rest & experience community living which improves the quality of street life.
