hanga is a water filter pitcher made of locally sourced terracotta. It has an exchangeable filter bag inside that reduces impurities that impair taste in tap water. After the pitcher is filled with water, small amount of it evaporates through the pores of the unglazed terracotta walls and keeps the temperature of the stored water low.
Balázs Tóth is a freelance product designer located in Budapest, Hungary. Inspired by the dialogue of tradition and contemporary, natural and artificial, tangible and intangible, he aims to design culturally relevant, environmentally sound solutions with a strong emphasis on the human experience. He considers himself an all-round designer, who always tries to create meaningful and enjoyable experiences through design, manifested in products that are easy to understand and use, thus having a clear and simple character.
Balázs Tóth is currently a student in the Product Design Department at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest, where he excepts to receive his Master's degree in 2015 June.
