Onur Ozkaya Cellular Table Coffee Table
Cellular Table Coffee Table is Silver Design Award winner in 2014 - 2015 3D Printed Forms and Products Design Award Category.
Cellular Table Coffee Table

Cellular Table has been commissioned to explore new ways of producing metal in the field of furniture design. The project uses a double-layer algorithmic pattern to provide both strength and flexibility. The final form of the table is developed through multiple iterations of the algorithm to provide an optimum level of porosity and lightness. Finally, the manufacturing process offers the use of both 3d printing and electro-forming process to increase both lightweight and sculptural qualities of a typical metal furniture within in a given interior environment.

Janusta

The story of Janusta begins on the 65th km from Styrn to Geiranger in Norway, 3 globetrotting cyclists wanted to catch a breath and noticed the massive boulder table on the side of the road. Of the 3 cyclists, one was a newly married interior designer, who seemed to have a chronic problem of finding the type of furniture that would truly satisfy his creative side. He struggled to find the right kind of furniture for their home, his hopes faded with every store they have browsed, its either the design would be lacking, the workmanship not up to standard or the materials too sterile. He started crafting his own furniture line by collaborating several designers that pushing the boundaries of contemporary manufacturing techniques and technologies. Since 2013, "Janusta" has been operating in Turkey, Italy and U.K. manufacturing several contemporary furniture types in limited editions. www.janusta.com
