This Project is a complete refurbishment of a colonial style house in one of the most charming neighbourhoods in Rio de Janeiro. Set on an extraordinary site, full of exotic trees and plants (original landscape plan by the famous landscape architect Burle Marx), the main goal was to integrate the exterior garden with the interior spaces by opening big windows and doors. The decoration has important Italian and Brazilian brands, and its concept is to have it as a canvas so that the customer (an art collector) can display his favourite pieces.

She graduated as Architect and Urban Planner in 1989 at Universidade Santa Úrsula Univerity in Rio de Janeiro. She did additional studies at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Hudson Valley Community College, both in Troy, NY, USA between 1991 and 1995. After years of experience working in an American office and in renowned offices in Rio, in 2000 she founded Progetto Arquitetura e Interiores. In 2011, she started Gisele Taranto Arquitetura, an architecture and interiors company that operates strongly in high-end residential areas, such as corporate projects. "Her essence is an unceasing search for what is being done now. The challenges are always great motivators for new projects, projects that do not have formulas ready for repetition. The" DNA "of the materials used, the transparency of the spaces, the balance between natural lighting and and the integration of the interior with the exterior. Her architecture arises from the attentive and questioning look at the present, whether in artistic, political or technological movements. Architect and urban planner, Gisele Taranto graduated from Santa Úrsula University, Rio de Janeiro in 1989. Accomplished additional studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Hudson Valley Community College, both in Troy, NY, USA. After 22 year of experience, working in american and brazilians offices, created Progetto Arquitetura e Interiores. That preceded her solo career in Gisele Taranto Arquitetura, architecture office focused on high level residences and coorporate projects.
