Designing an Icon to show 'an option for language change' was challenging. It had to clearly communicate the idea. I was inspired by the form of a turnstile, as it is a single element, which has different planes that can be turned or flipped, thus the connection of flipping through different language options to choose the one you want. The design had to be simple as it needed to be reduced to a very small size without compromising the communication aspect. I decided to go for basic, bold lines and a single solid color to ensure that it would retain it's clarity at any size
