Modu is a modular city car designed for urban mobility. The design features a reconfigurable approach with interchangeable components such as the headlamps, driving mirrors, bumpers, and drivetrain components that simplify manufacturing and reduce waste. According the designers, this configurability allows owners of the vehicle to customize the vehicle to suit changing needs, offering a practical solution to modern transportation challenges.
I am a product design engineer from Ghana. With a background in both Electrical engineering (Bsc. from KGEU in Russia) and Design Engineering (Msc. at Penn State, US). I specialize in leveraging manufacturing technologies to enable unique products. Previous work include research and development of desktop 3D printers, development of general consumer electronics and even additive manufacturing of concrete houses.
Modu is a design exploration to push beyond convention knowledge of how vehicles are made today, through first principles and Design Thinking.
