The beauty of wabi-sabi lies in restraint, valuing imperfections like knots in wood and fissures in stone. In this project, reclaimed railway wood, marked by time, stands as a bridge between past and present. Its rugged texture contrasts with smooth modern materials, telling a story of nature's poetry. Above the dining table, a curved lighting fixture flows like a cloud, casting shifting light patterns that create a serene, layered ambiance, reminiscent of mountain ranges and nature's quiet embrace.
"Outlining the contours of life and narrating the stories between people and spaces." As the transitional layer between story and narrative, we focus on inhabitants' intersecting and overlapping trajectories in their daily lives. We reconstruct and integrate these moments with functionality and aesthetics, creating a balance between layers. This gives the space a new language that tells its occupants' unique story.
