Jiangsu Shuanggou Distillery Co., Ltd

Jiangsu Shuanggou Distillery Co., Ltd is located in Shuanggou Town, a thousand-year old town surrounded by Huaihe River and Hongze Lake. In 1977, the fossil of Anthropocene unearthed in Xiacaowan near Shuanggou was named as the fossil of Drunken ape after being authenticated by experts from the Institute of Paleontology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Scientists have concluded that more than 10 million years ago, in the subtropical forest of Shuanggou area, living in the hominid, because swallowed the natural fermentation of wild fruit liquid surface drunk, became a fossil tens of millions of years later. This assertion has been included in the modern encyclopedia of China, in order to fully explore the ancient connotation of Shuanggou as the source of Chinese wine, the archaeological experts of the Chinese Academy of Sciences conducted a more detailed scientific survey of Shuanggou area for the second time in 2001, and found that as early as more than 10 million years ago, there were paleontological groups thriving in Shuanggou area. Accordingly, You Yuzhu, Xu Qinqi and Ji Hongxiang, researchers at the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, jointly wrote "Shuanggou Drunken Ape" and published it at home and abroad. The unique geographical environment has created a long history of Shuanggou wine making.
