Japanese word shinkan means deep stillness. It expresses a way of falling completely silent without making a single sound. Therefore, we focused on sounds. By eliminating all the noise we tried to create a sauna space where one person can relax. The partition walls extend to the attic, all finishing are uneven, and sound proofing material is used inside the walls to minimize noise. Furthermore, by applying lighting that corresponds with a direction, intensity, color temperature of the natural sunlight, the space was designed to express the silence of a naturally born and growing forest.

Business pertaining to listed above Concept “From thought to reality to connection” Clients have their own ideas to express to the public. The ideas can’t be expressed without being converted into ”words”. They also can’t be passed on without being transformed into “forms”. We are the designers who create the “words” and the “forms”. By putting “thoughts” into “words”, which morph into ”forms”, a diverse range of people will be able to read and understand the ideas of the client. This is the “design” that we aim for.
