Double Barn is a contemporary house located in the suburbs of Warsaw, designed for a family of four. The challenge was to create a modern, yet timeless house design, referring to the traditional architecture of Mazovia and adapting to the context of nature. In order not to overwhelm the surrounding single-family housing with its size, the house was divided into two interconnected blocks. From the inside of the house, mainly bright elements of HPL boards are visible, which makes it feel cozy. At the same time, the dark façades made of graphite tiles blend the house into the surroundings.

Katarzyna is an Architect with over fourteen years of professional experience gained in recognized architectural studios, e.g. at Fiszer Atelier 41 in Warsaw and Paris. Determination in pursuing the goal and implementing the architectural vision allows us to build a wide range of clients who are satisfied with the studio's designs. Katarzyna has been a member of the Mazovian Regional Chamber of Architects for 10 years. In 2015, she founded her own studio. At the beginning, focusing on interior design, over time, expanding its offer with architectural designs of single-family, multi-family and service buildings.

An original architecture studio founded by Katarzyna Starzyk in 2015 in Warsaw, Poland. Its design service covers architecture, interior and product design. The studio supports investors in the entire design and construction process, with particular emphasis on housing construction. It offers the possibility of comprehensively designing the building together with its interior in order to obtain a coherent whole project.
