Mount Kinabalu is located in Northern Borneo. The inspiration for the entire design came from the earth-toned colour palette and the material was selected as it is warm and serene. The feature wall uses the natural rock collected from Mount Kinabalu, with the enhancement of lighting illumination from the ceiling, it does clearly shows the texture of the rock. The combination of stone and timber creates a balance of harmony. While the details of the furniture use leather and gold finishing to symbolize luxury and deluxe.

In 2007, Jackson Y. K. Chia formed DESIGN GALLERY, an interior design and consultancy firm based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. He studied in Architecture but began his career in interior design instead. On top of the years of experiences, the passion in art and love of interior architecture, has shaped him into the creative and innovative designer he is today. He has the desire to create designs that exceed clients’ expectations; The obsession of quality and the attention to the interior details.
