Pan is a coat hanger made up of three steel elements connected by a central joint. Each component is obtained by reusing the waste steel sheet coming from industrial laser cutting processes. Each component is sized with the aim of reusing as much material as possible. Pan is a multifaceted object, the two dimensional sheet takes on a new three dimensional aesthetic, a multifaceted volume with a sculptural value. Each pan is unique because its design depends on how the elements are randomly arranged on the slab during the ongoing production process.
Sapiens Design, based in Milan, was born from the meeting between Alessandro Mattia and Gloria Gianatti, designers graduated at the Polytechnic of Milan. The design philosophy of Sapiens Design is based on the belief that, despite being made in series, each product lives in a unique way. Relating to the human being through its form-function, every object follows us in everyday life, stimulating curiosity and imagination. This interaction between subject and object allows us to discover and invent new possibilities and opportunities of use. Every object posses, in this sense, a soul. And it is starting from this soul that Sapiens Design imagines a humanized and functional future: an evolved future.
NestArt is an Italian brand developed starting from an idea by Silvio Bordoni (CEO of the company, based in Rolo - RE). The idea is to give new shapes to recovered steel derived from the industrial processes of laser cutting. NestArt creates products with endless applications, ideal for coverings, decorative items and furniture. Its unique objects are shaped and characterized by careful craftsmanship. NestArt uses exclusively SSAB Swedish Steel, specifically optimized for laser cutting, to create long-lasting, non-deformable products, which are also resistant to oxidation. Reusing and giving value to scrap elements, NestArt optimizes the use of raw materials and reduces CO2 emissions with a positive impact on the environment.
