Based on the waste of food caused by over buying and leaving food in the refrigerator, the app fresh was designed. People can use it to scan shopping lists to get records of food purchases and add food to app. App will record the shelf life of food and distinguish the different shelf life of food in the refrigerator through green, yellow and red prompt boxes to remind to avoid wasting food. In addition, the app also provides weekly waste food reports and cumulative waste food statistics to reduce waste.

Deyin Zhang, born in May 1998. Ph.D. student in Design, School of Computer Science, Zhejiang University (2022-), Distinguished Student and School Convenor, Chongqing University, Class of 2016 (2017-2020). The first batch of intermediate UX designers in China (2021), the 2nd Yangtze River Delta "WUWEI" Young Creative Talent (2023), part-time teacher at City College of Zhejiang University (2022, taught in English). Received more than forty national, provincial, municipal and university-level honors, including the China National Scholarship, Jiang Zhen Scholarship and Provincial Advanced Individual; five national patents; two design works collected at Chongqing University. Since 2021, Deyin has published ten papers of three high level; as a main member, he has participated in five major projects, including the sub-project of the National Key Research and Development Program, the sub-project of the major project of the National Social Science Foundation of China in art, the key project of the National Social Science Foundation of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the major project of the Social Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province. During his Ph.D., he participated in or was responsible for a number of innovative design and interaction design projects and implemented them. His works have won 22 international and national design awards (including several special awards, gold awards and silver awards), including the China DesignSmart Award and the Italian A Design Award, of which 16 were won by the first author. He has exhibited five industrial design works at home and abroad: Chongqing (2019 Chongqing Art Exhibition and National Art Exhibition, Chongqing Art Museum); Hangzhou (2022 China DesignSmart Award Masterpiece Exhibition, two exhibits); Dubai (2022 Dubai International Design Week); Wenzhou (2022 Wenzhou International Design Biennale).
