Brazilian Modernism and Tropicalismo in a geometric body. With straight lines and congruous construction, Modello 09 holds a suspension design that creates an illusionary loop connecting seat, legs, back and arms in a distinctive manner. Built in solid Burmese hardwood teak, brass and cane webbing, the manufacturing process uniquely embraces marks and bruises as badges of honor of natural materials.

Graduated in Product Design and Visual Communications, Cassiano Saldanha has been a multidisciplinary designer, acting as graphic designer, art director and creative lead for the past 22 years, creating award winning work for brands such as Nike, Google, Dove, Netflix, Schweppes, MasterCard, Adidas, IBM, Levis, Motorola, AIG, PepsiCo, LG, and Intel. Since his schools days he kept developing furniture and product design ideas. In 2015 he joined Apple as a Creative Lead for Latin America and the Caribbean. Recently his furniture design work has been recognized as a winner at the A’Design Award Competition.

SAL+Co is a collective of craft art with that creates and produce products in waves. We’ve done leatherwork, furniture, textiles and other unique design pieces. We produce objects in small and limited batches, manually, enjoying every detail of the creative process.
