The project is located in a mountainous area of karstic peaks, where there are many traditional settlements of ancient aquatic communities. The design has been inspired by the settlements: transforming the traditional settlement habitat into a public space with an urban function, maintaining the local identity and creating a lively modern space, the design defines a modern settlement group space with a fire and rescue professional identity.
Located in the mountainous region of south-west China, the project is a public facility combining a government-led fire station and fire rescue training. The local landscape and settlement structure gave the design its concept and layout and serves as a response to the local character.Established in 2004, Westline Studio is a Chinese design team with a diverse background of international collaborations. .WestLine Studio focuses on the basic working model of geo-order + community model + spirit of place + composite construction, which not only helps to maintain the stability of the original existence and emotional texture of the geo-site, but also helps to achieve a symbiotic existence structure of site order and spirit of place in the context of contemporary universal society, effectively preserving the human skeleton of the geo-site, and searching for a public life in the context of the dual social structure (universal + blood).
