Symbols are the clue to the relationship between the world and human beings, the basis of every culture. Symboink is a series of books that archives artifacts from common objects. Three books named for each symbol (The world tree / Water and Fire / Door, gate, and key) convey the intuitive connection between global beliefs, through mythology, traditional story, art and craft from diverse nations. A set of title font Linkers was designed for the project, used as an impalpable linkage between the imaginations.

Yoonbee Baek is a multidisciplinary designer based in Seoul and New York. While thinking that Design could be an antonym of egoism, her approaches of humanistic, cultural, historical and psychological enthusiasm turned out to be a crucial point in her work. She is expected to graduate Ewha Womans University in 2021 with dual degrees in Painting and Visual design. She will study and get her Master's in Design at School of Visual Arts. She is available for Brand design, Graphic design, Video production, Painting and Photography.
