Cups Kamakura is a cafe restaurant, which also has the hotel function. Because the property is facing to the ocean, Kamio Design tried to expand the inspirations from water. They made several graphics concerning to water and transformed the inspired images to attempt into cafe and hotel spaces by carefully dealing with color balance, sunlight reflection, and material selection. Also, the building is 50 years old, and the team needed to work on preservation carefully while applying the new design aspects.

Cups Kamakura & the lounge is owned and operated by KYOWA ENTERPRISE, a property management company located in Chigasaki Kanagawa. The cafe area serves all gluten free food and organic drinks. The hotel area can be rented only one group per a day, and maximum 10 people can stay together.
