ZarrinMoayery Studio Captain Lounge Hospitality and Restaurant
Captain Lounge Hospitality and Restaurant is Bronze Design Award winner in 2020 - 2021 Interior Space and Exhibition Design Award Category.
Captain Lounge Hospitality and Restaurant

Captain Restaurant is the combination of a few hospitality spaces with an industrial feel in the metropolis of Tehran, Iran. As a brand restaurant, all the materials and forms, like ropes and large circular light fixtures, are designed to emphasize Captain's name. One of its unique features is the non-alcoholic bar with ample space for stools all around the ship-like counter. Spaces with different scales from the large dining area to the small private rooms and rooftop patio have provided a wide range of hospitality opportunities for the client and so many Instagrammable spots for users.

ZarrinMoayery Studio

ZarrinMoayery is a multifaceted studio based in California. Principals Hamed Zarrinkamari and Maryam Moayery Nia started the studio as a side project while working on their Ph.D. theses in Milan hoping to create a bridge between academia and professional practice. Working in a handful of different contexts and under different jurisdictions has given them an international taste of design. From Iran to Italy, the US, and then Canada they have worked on a wide range of projects including but not limited to residential projects, offices, wineries, cannabis facilities, hospitality spaces, etc. Hamed and Maryam are focused on the modern narrative of traditional patterns in the built environment and constantly try to bring the hidden underlying dynamism of people and spaces onto the reality of architecture. Their exposure to a wide range of ideas, forms, materials, and construction methods has enabled them to approach any project with a mix and match of the best options available beyond the local norms and solutions.
