The team targeted fresh couples for this plate. They tend to eat unhealthily in their new married life. Because the new life with partner enhances appetite. At the same time, they don’t want to trouble each other to care about their foods too much. To solve the problems, the team aimed to balance controlling their diet easily with enjoying to eat. And they achieved it getting inspiration from pie chart, the symbol of balance visualization.
Jun does not tie himself down to restrictions or stereotypes, think out of box. He brings a lot of ideas on the table widely, and shapes aesthetic designs combining lines and surfaces together freely. On the other hand, Takuya has a good sense of catch the critical point making the product attractive. And he is enthusiastic to polish the point thoroughly. Finding a hidden new value, giving various kinds of forms to it and sophisticating it without compromise, only the two different types of designers can have the great synergies in their design.
They met together in Kyoto, which is one of the oldest cities in Japan, when they were university students in 2013. Although they work as inhouse designers in the different companies now, they have been good friends and been good design partners each other since then. Whenever they design a new product, they tell what they think about their own ideas without compromising. But through the frank and straightforward communication, they find a new point of view which no one have realized. That is why they can boost the level of ideas freely.
