#508: I cannot find my gala-night images, where are my gala images? Could it be possible my gala-night photos are deleted? Can you find my image?
Your gala-night images should be in our photo-gallery, you can access photo-gallery after login, access is free of charge, there is no cost per image download or use. Every year, we upload thousands of photos from Gala-Night and Award-Ceremony to gallery pages. If you cannot find your images, the first reason would be the fact that there are simply just too many images and you could have easily missed your own photo, try to search better, when searching images, remember the designers who were on stage before or after you; this could serve as a point of reference and could help you find your photos. There will be several photos for each designer, such as Red Carpet photos, Red Photo Wall Photos and Stage Photos as well as any eventual photos from the event such as during registration or signing the Designer of the Year certificate. On the other hand, in rare cases your image might actually be not available, on this matter please note the following: We do not delete images or photos ourselves however in certain cases we do not have the images initially. Our photographers take images of all designers on stage, however the photography team are also given strict gala-night photography guidelines to remove all images of guests that are not gala-night dress code compliant before delivering such images to us. If you were not dress code compliant or if the photographers believe that your photo did not fully represent the best of yourself; due to many criteria including but not limited to (a) photos taken at wrong time resulting in undesired facial expressions, closed eyes and similar, (b) bad hair styling or make-up, (c) non-compliance with dress code; male participants must wear black tuxedo or full suit, female participants are asked to wear evening dress or cocktail dress, dresses must be black, white or red, and not in too bright colours such as bright pink (d) inadequate dressing; jacket button open or t-shirt out of pants, lack of jacket, sport shoes, undesirable accessories or objects held in hand, or (e) bad context; poor choice of background or (f) technical errors: dirty lens, data corruption, motion blur or focus blur, in any of such cases your image will most likely not be available. We are not able to determine why your image is not available, since we do not delete or filter such images ourselves; after the event, we are given a series of images that have already been filtered, and due to our agreement with photographers, we are not able to solicit deleted or removed images. If you believe you were fully dress-code compliant and had a good facial expression and well made make-up, then the only reason why your image is not available is due to technical issues or force majeure such as someone flashing their camera flash light while the photographers were taking your photo at the same time, technically destroying your image due to over-exposure, or due to camera or lens failures that are beyond our control. On the other hand, if you were not dress code compliant, the reason why your image was removed is because we explicitly ask photographers to remove all images of non-compliant designers. This is required to ensure a set level of quality and communication, and the fact that images of non-compliant designers would be removed is already noted in gala participation page. We cannot help you search or find your image, since there are usually too many images and it is faster for you to seek your image yourself as you would recognise yourself faster than we could search your image, and if you could orient yourself based on award ceremony and if you remember designers who went to stage before or after you, it becomes easier to find your images. On the bright side, we do not charge for any image and we allow selfies to be taken during the event, you should have several pictures that you took yourself in worst case scenario. Furthermore, we have also added facial recognition and photo tagging in our service roadmap; i.e. we are currently planning and developing these features which means that in the future we might be able to automatically match and tag your gala-night images with your profile images, as long as you have uploaded a portrait profile image that is showing your face clearly and in compliance with our profile image guidelines.
