She is also a freelancer illustrator, providing works for children books. Her works reflect her Christian faith and her deep ties to Japanese culture, focusing on messages aimed for families. When not working, she loves to play the piano and sing songs with her family. Kawai hopes to continue honing her storytelling skills and making animations that will uplift people and resonate with them.
When people use their skills and talents to create something good and meaningful — whether it is an artwork, a technique, a tool, an example to be followed, etc. — all of this reflects the same potential of creation that God has and that He imbued in each one of His children.
In this sense, creating art that uplifts people and instills good moral values is a way of honouring one's faith in God and serving others.
