& founder at STUDIOVN. During a decade
of her career, she has designed dozens of
international luxury hotels, bars, restaurants,
commercial offices & world-class residences
in Asia, Europe, the Middle East & Africa
(MENA). Originally from Armenia, she has
lived and worked in USA, Malaysia, UAE,
Serbia, Hungary and now is based in Berlin.
Since the beginning of civilization, the human mind has been continuously working to improve the comfort of daily life. Throughout history, the eagerness of few to innovate, and the the desire of many for luxury and aesthetics has fostered the development of design techniques that achieve harmonious interior spaces. The diverse variety of products, the evolution of technology, as well as the emergence of varied and conflicting schools of design, have created a reality, where the simple question of, why do humans create? is often neglected. Human-centred design is a topic that has been widely studied after the industrial revolution, consolidating the expertise that enhances the human experience in any given space. Consequently, I strongly believe that, whether it is the trendiest restaurant, a corporate meeting room or the most private area of a house, elevating the human experience and well-being is why we continue designing interiors.
