About Seiichi Hishikawa : Born in Tokyo, he joined CBS/Sony (now Sony Music Entertainment) in 1988 and later moved to the U.S., where he has been based in New York. After returning to Japan, he participated in the establishment of DRAWING AND MANUAL in 1997.He has directed short films, photography, TV commercials, dramas and programs such as NHK historical dramas "Komyo ga Tsuji”, “Saka no Ue no Kumo”, "Yae no Sakura”, “MORIBITO: Gurdian of the Spirit”, corporate branded films for Sony Honda, Panasonic, NTT docomo, P&G, Tiffany, Mercedes-Benz, and Shiseido. In addition, he has directed Chanel and Calvin Klein as a stage director for their collections. As a space director, he has supervised exhibitions such as Motion Graphics (Roppongi AXIS), Kagakku in Motion (21_21 DESIGN SIGHT), and the Venice Biennale of Architecture. His directorial TV commercial "Xylophone" won more than 20 international awards including Cannes Lions. As an artist, he has shown his contemporary art works "Yukimi Shunga" and "srk (Inspired by SHARAKU)" in Tokyo, Milan and New York. In 2017, he directed the film "youth", in 2018 the film "Hamonica-Taiyo" set in Niigata, and in 2020 the new film "All aboard!". Professor at Musashino Art University since 2004.
