About Patrick Afornali : Graduate in Biology, Patrick Afornali uses Biomimetics to combine his products with sustainability, function, form and concept. His goal is to create usable objects that are inspired in the nature itself and also in the solutions that nature has for creating, reproducting and developing. He seeks, in a poetic way, to create an interaction between the user and his products, trasforming the pieces into an invitation for interaction, whether in their function, handling or in the mixture of textures; he calles it Tactile Design. Patrick’s search for new materials, forms and functions make his productions unique. He makes and participates in the entire production process of his pieces, and the use of different techniques and materials provides him with a deeper knowledge of the advantages and limitations of each one. Patrick always seeks to use specialized local labor and local artisans to promote and foment the local circular economy.
