With art practice of repetitive physical labor and traveling on foot, her methodologies are the tireless resistance against the “real” ignorance. Chin-Yun Guo creates natural landscapes based on the phenomenons of resource consumption and anthropogenic activities under the influences of diaspora experience, material culture of postcolonialism, and neoliberalism, questioning the collective consciousness shaped by local identity and ecopolitical myths. Associated mostly with programmatic research, her works are displayed through diverse mediums of videos, data, documents, site-specific installation, and performative practice.
Chin-Yun Kuo was as well invited to perform and exhibit her works at Kunsthalle am Hamburger Platz, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Kunsthalle Faust, in cities of Jakarta, Nepal, Bussan, Venice and so on. On top of that, she also worked as a scenographer and set designer for theatrical performance, at National Performing Arts Center Experimental Theater, National Theater, and Songshan Cultural and Creative Park.
