About Paul Meeuwsen : I'm a creative director and designer that has been luck enough to be involved in multidisciplinary award in the last 10 years. I have also been a Senior design lecturer for the last 10 years. What makes me unusual is that I have been involved in both international graphic and industrial design awards.
STATEMENT OF ART:
Art and design isn't about the designer it about reflecting issues and solving problems. In a more divided world than ever art and design has a strong roll to play in uniting people around shared beliefs and appreciating the differences. The public discourse is currently holding us back at a higher level. Thats why people are being creative in their local communities around what they can effect both here and now. As and educator I am constantly inspired by how students are not only engaged creatively but focus their thinking and skills on how they can make a difference. As professionals we love to mentor young creatives in the strategies and steps required for their ideas to become real and the next round of thought leaders.

The Reflection Room creates an opportunity for the public to immerse themselves in the Chinese New Year sentiments of Longevity, Prosperity and Happiness.

It is a spatial experience that is crafted completely from red mirrors to create an infinite space. Inside, typography plays the role of connecting the audience to each of the Chinese New Year’s main values and prompts people to reflect on the year that has been and the year ahead.
