Including 4 years of internship experience in various fashion industries such as Tahari ASL, Derek Lam, and Scott Langton, Yunji served 3 years at SAKU New York Company as the Assistant Designer.
To further her experience, she resigned from her Assistant Designer position at SAKU in 2018 and returned to Academia to pursue a master's degree in fashion. In November 2020, Yunji completed her MFA degree at the SCAD Atlanta.

Through my work, I want to transform fashion into a non-stereotypical medium, which is used as a tool to help people to express who they are and not to be judged based on what society incorrectly portrays. By the “Beauty Standard” that social media portrays, consumers are being judged by their external looks only. I hope that my generation can work together to offer revolutionary fashion design and technology that accommodates and flatters all body-types of consumers.
