View Larger Image and Additional Photos of BORD Architectural StudioAbout BORD Architectural Studio : BORD Architectural Studio is a young and successful Hungarian architectural studio whose works are listed among the determining creations of contemporary architecture in Hungary. The studio works on projects with different scales and usages. They offer complete solutions from the conceptual to the completion phase in three cities of Europe: Budapest, Debrecen and Zurich. In order to guarantee human-centred and sustainable design for their projects, the studio has a separate department with its own landscape architects and mechanical engineers. The unique atmosphere of their projects is designed by Peter Bordas, who is the founder and lead architect of the office.
We believe that the energy hidden in nature is the basis of our physical and spiritual well-being. Highlighting the existing local values, supporting human culture and preserving traditions belong to the duties of architects. We know that well-composed spaces significantly contribute to developed human relationships and enhance creating a respective and cooperative society and consequently, a better world.
Our purpose is to design original spaces that are comfortable, have relaxing atmosphere and are also inspiring and invigorating at the same time. Taking the natural human scale into account, we create harmonious spaces with appropriate proportions, which we organize into one unit by placing them one after the other in a unique rhythm. Our buildings are characterized by exciting spatial relations, unique atmosphere and dynamic appearance. The connection to nature always has a determining role in our projects. Outside and inside spaces create a unity; nature becomes a part of the manmade world. We provide timeless and elegant design, which is fresh, strong, contemporary and unique at the same time.
Among our internationally recognized projects, the most outstanding ones are the modern building of Etyeki Kuria Winery, whose gabled roof composition seems hovering above the vineyard, and Nagyerdei Stadium, which was ranked as the 4th one at the competition ’the Stadium of the Year 2014’ by StadiumDB. We are also proud of the building of the new Nandor Hidegkuti Stadium, by which we have introduced a new category, called ‘football capsule’, into the world of football stadiums. Lajver Winery emerges in the slope side evoking a land art sculpture, whereas the hologram-like façade of Villa Budapest event centre determines the panorama of the Castle District.
