View Larger Image and Additional Photos of Tomás Delft STATEMENT OF ART:About Tomás Delft : Tomás Delft is a Creative/Art Director from Lisbon. Founder of Damm - Agency, Lustywal, Nuba - DX & Former Head of Brand at Forall phones, worked as a freelancer before and in some advertising agencies.
Together he gathers more than 6 years of work in the Design Field and the last 3 as Leading teams and projects of Branding, Marketing strategies, Store Design, Product Design, Business Thinking, and others.
He calls himself a thinker and a problem solver. Building brands for him is about thinking at the best solutions to create an innovative new brand and solve their problems.
Also, he loves to think about the future of things, how the technologies are evolving and what kind of products or services they may bring. That type of thinking gives Tomás Delft the vision that is needed to create new brands for the future. In Portugal, we have a phrase that is "Cortar o mal pela raíz" which means "Cutting the bad from the scratch", and I think Design is that in a very brief way. Art is the act of doing something and somehow passing the message that the artist wants to pass. Art is a way to make a statement, not thinking about who will see or listen, just feeling it and expressing it in your own way no matter how. That's why Art can be tricky because the fulfillment and the motivation that you put on it are so deeply yours that the message is totally personal and probably will not be understood by everyone. But that's the only way you can make others feel something, they may not feel the same as you, they will interpret by their own vision the message you are passing. And that's where the Tricky part turns into magic and you can see it. The design uses Art for its meaning, to get more sentiment or innovation when solving problems of communication for example. I love it and it drives me every day, to think about the future, of how to solve real problems, the everyday problems, that everyone has. So I don´t see myself only as a designer, I'm a thinker of the world, trying to make a difference on the little things around me.
