About Arlene Sun : Arlene Sun is a mixed-media artist based in New York and Beijing. She is the founder of C.L.A.P. US (Creative Lab for Async Parallel) and serves as Overseas Project Director at Feiyangluo Digital Interactive Public Art Institution. Sun holds an MFA in Design and Technology and a BFA in Film and Animation from Parsons School of Design. Her practice spans installation art, interactive design, and painting, deeply influenced by psychology, science, and philosophy.

In 2015, she established C.L.A.P. US, a cross-disciplinary lab integrating art, innovation, and experience. The lab represents interdisciplinary artists and develops projects merging art and technology to explore multi-role artistic experiences. In 2016, her ecological art project "GOOD AS GOLD" employed gold plating and physical interaction to convey perceptions of cosmic order and individual energy. Works from this series—such as Golden City, Golden Cluster, and Golden State—have received numerous awards, including the Italian A’ Design Award, PRISMA Art Prize, Indigo Design Award, AI-AP (USA), WIDE OPEN Art Awards, 10th Annual CityScapes Art Competition, and Overzealous Fine Art Competition, and have been shortlisted and collected by prominent institutions.

In early 2020, Sun launched the "MOOD" series, an art healing initiative that includes graffiti, video, interactive installations, improvisational painting, and workshops. This body of work transforms abstract emotions into tangible experiences, exploring the intersection of affect and technology. "MOOD" fosters emotional dialogue and social reflection, demonstrating the therapeutic potential of art and inspiring renewed attention to its role in mental health. Her sustainable art and art healing projects have garnered significant media attention and continue to generate positive social impact.
