Wherley's design of this product has opened doors for many dogs and for some other unexpected animals such as pigs and goats. The tie out system was originally a solution to Wherley's problems, but became something that others desired and could use in their lives. The Double Dog Run System has created movement of tangle-free security for the owners of single and multiple dogs. Wherley runs the small family business from her home in Pennsylvania along with her wife, Rebecca Wherley. The business is unique not only for its product but because it was built through trial and error, and hard work. The company, Infinitely Tied LLC, is the only company to produce and sell the Double Dog Run System world wide. Today Wherley continues to push the limits of the dog product industry by continuing to market the great benefits the Double Dog Run System can provide for the dogs and their owners. Hoping to improve the adoption and rescue count in the following years with education and the sale of the product, Wherley is determined to make the product a staple for dog owners who do not have a fenced yard or who wish to travel with their pets.
STATEMENT OF ART:I think about art as a possibility to change one's perspective on their own situation. I think that the design and layout of things are important to communicate a message. I like that it is interpretive and that no one ever looks at a design the same as the next person. The use of the design or artwork is also never the same from one person to the next. It is the connection of the eye drawn to the design, that person's thought process and where it takes him or her; then to the next person and their thoughts on it... an infinite number of thoughts and ideas can come from one design and engage or encourage another individual to change or take action in something. The best part is the designer themselves will still only see it from their point of view, unaware that hundreds, thousands or millions of people have seen the design and chose a path or thought process because of it. Design and art are what connects us all. It is what draws our eyes, hands or bodies to something and moves us, just like a well written song or a gravitational pull in a certain direction.
