About Arturo Campos Architects : Arturo Campos is an Award Wininig Architect in Mérida, México; established since 2002 to the present in his own firm Arturo Campos Architects. He has a PhD in Architectural Acoustics with Cum Laude in Barcelona, Spain. From 1999 to 2002 he was an architect in the construction of The Expiatory Temple of the Holy Family, of the Catalonian architect Antoni Gaudi in Barcelona, Spain. Actually he develops all kind of architectural projects, and is focused in architectural acoustics and bioclimatic architecture too. He has been awarded for many projects in International Architecture Biennales and other International Awards.
STATEMENT OF ART:
Design in architecture is make a dream happening; is create a sculpture to live. Design in architecture is art and science. As an art, architecture design has to be beautiful for the people how is going to live there and has to be functional too because they are going to do many activities in the building. Architecture is sculpture to live… As an acoustic architect, architectural design takes in count sounds too. Architecture sounds and people listen!. Sounds of materials, sounds of landscape, sounds of people living the building all of them make the sounds of architecture. Design in architecture are views ans sounds created with colors, materials, forms, textures, context, water, wind, all combined to create a living sculpture.
