About Matthew Heywood : Matthew Heywood is an architect with a wide range of experience designing many varied projects. He previously worked at Future Systems for over 7 years, where he was on the team for the Media Centre at Lords Cricket Ground and the Project Architect for Selfridges Department Store in Birmingham. ORGANIZATION:Matthew Heywood Limited EDUCATION: 1991 - Architecture, Bachelor of Science, Dundee University, UK 1994 - Architecture, Bachelor of Architecture (Honours), Dundee University, UK 1995 - RIBA Professional Qualification as Architect, Dundee University, UK EXPERIENCE: 1994-1996 TP Bennett Partnership - Qualified as an Architect in 1995. 1996-2003 Future Systems - Seven years working with the international renowned design practice. Appointed Associate Director in 2000. Involved in the design and construction of over 40 projects. 1996-1999 Media Centre at Lord’s Cricket Ground Architect in a team of four, working from the initial design stages through to completion of the Stirling Prize winning building. 1999-2003 Selfridges Birmingham Project Architect on this £60 million department store. Managing a team of 6-12 people from detailed design to completion. 2003 Established Matthew Heywood Limited Matthew Heywood Limited is a Royal Institute of British Architects Chartered Practice working in on a wide range of projects from small pieces of bespoke furniture to larger commercial developments.
