About Kumkum Nadig : I am an accomplished design professional as well as a well respected and sought after teacher. The transition from being a professional to being a teacher and vice versa comes easily to me. My practice informs my teaching and it is while teaching that I am constantly learning. My students benefit from the fact that while I am able to make their learning relevant in today's market, I am also making sure that they learn all the skills and attributes required for life long learning and ability to cope with change.
STATEMENT OF ART:
I am always interested in symbolism in visual design. Making, creating, deciphering meaning through visual design is something that has been my pre-occupation and looking for cultural and contextual influences in these meanings is something that can keep me engaged.
Being an educationist I am always intrigued by the process of learning and spend a substantial amount of my time in researching and reading about pedagogy and curriculum evaluation/development.
