| DESIGN NAME: The Golden Riveria PRIMARY FUNCTION: Show Flat INSPIRATION: Inspired by the river, the design is full of wavy and curvy elements. Random shape mosaic wall feature at the foyer draws the first attention at the door entrance. The water concept is extended to every corner of the room in different form. It is express in different color and material like mosaic, wall panel or fabric. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This property is located by the river of Nan Du Jian in Haikou, where is a growing fast city in China. We design this show flat for our client who is developing a real estate residential in the area and marketing at the middle class young couples and family. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The idea of curve and wave comes from the riverside. This development is located next to Nan Du Jian, where is famous landmark in the city. Our client wish to connect the beautiful river with the property, that is the design concept came from. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project took 6 months to complete, finished in June 2019. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The concept of "curve and wave" applies to every corner of the room, from entrance to mini bar, living room and bedrooms. The clever color matching developed a warm and appealing accent. Dining area is decorated with a ripple shape chandelier which continues the water element. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: It is an 1550sq.ft. apartment with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, located in Haikou, China. TAGS: riverside, young, gold and chic, sophisticated RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Water is free form, irregular and shapeless. Water is blue, sometimes it's dark, and transparent. It can be anything that you can imagine. That is how we apply the idea into the design. It is presented at geometric pattern like the leather panel with metal trimming. It can also presented by the color, like clear blue is the scheme of kids room. Waterfall like mosaic pattern in master bathroom is one of the water form as well. CHALLENGE: Mosaic wall feature at the foyer and master bathroom is one of the important design in this project. At the foyer, the pattern represents the free form of wave that is irregular and relax. It's all about good craftsmanship on arranging color and shape.
