| DESIGN NAME: Grand Theatre of Sanshui PRIMARY FUNCTION: Art Performances and Conferences INSPIRATION: A breeze is blowing, lotus fragrance is full on Miao City. (Miao City another name for Sanshui)There is a lotus lake in Sanshui, Foshan. The world famous for lotus is located here. Sanshui cultural center is built around the lake. The Grand Theater (Cultural Center) is located in the center of the five pavilions. The main design elements are extracted from the lotus, and the final design components are evolved with their shapes. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Elegant Lotus, the Cultural Card of the City The lotus in the wind sways gracefully and sends off pleasant fragrance. Sanshui Cultural Center is located in Hexiang Lake, the core area of Sanshui New Town, Foshan City. As a new cultural landmark of Sanshui City, its architectural appearance and interior design are of high standards. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Inside the theater,the designer builds the acoustic relationship among wood veneer, wall and floor by adopting the attachment method without empty space left and lays the carpet to eliminate the noise of footsteps, thus creating a perfect acoustic theater environment and making balance between acoustics and aesthetics. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Inside the theater,the designer builds the acoustic relationship among wood veneer, wall and floor by adopting the attachment method without empty space left and lays the carpet to eliminate the noise of footsteps, thus creating a perfect acoustic theater environment and making balance between acoustics and aesthetics. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 5000 square meters, three-story building, TAGS: A:Public space / Art Center / business meeting B:Integration of traditional culture and modern design C:Perception in natural artistic conception RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Research Summary: With the combination of modern geometry and visual interleaving,the indoor floor glass window is used to catch the natural light, and the outdoor wind-driven scenery of lotus is introduced to seek the compromise between aesthetics and nature on the internal and external boundaries. The intention of the design can be clearly displayed through the displayed parts, and the charm of the whole space can be built together. So as to highlight the cultural symbols of urban implication and integrate the remote aesthetic mood into this work. CHALLENGE: BASIC DESIGN always adheres to the design concept of "advocating nature, respecting tradition, tracing back to the origin and being creative", and carries out design of this case by exploring the traditional culture combined with the conception of natural prospect. The rich traditional humanistic style and elegant natural scenery and artistic conception coexist with each other, thus creating another cultural business card of spatial aesthetics for Foshan.
