| DESIGN NAME: Wonderful Travel PRIMARY FUNCTION: Children's Birthday Candles INSPIRATION: Wax material is a local characteristic industry, selling raw materials for a long time. The local government has been looking for opportunities for wax products to create new products for the public through industrial design services. Electric light has replaced the function of candle lighting. At present, candles are used in ritual activities. Children's birthdays must be celebrated every year, the market demand is huge, and cultural product design is accepted by people. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Children's growth is accompanied by animation stories and picture books. Lovely, brave and villain characters are the images in children's games. Space exploration, ice and snow, Jurassic dinosaurs and marine science popularization have become familiar and favorite themes for children. "Space travel" is the theme of this set of candle design, which combines the theme and birthday atmosphere from the image role, story content and environmental color. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Children decorate with hands, just like toys. Overall design of the suit, including birthday hat and other accessories. There are six roles in space travel: larey: astronaut, showing off, big eyes; Rilla: inventor, making his own spaceship; khaki: astronaut, carefree, like running; Smith: leader, experienced, beer belly; Maigey: astronaut, simple mind, surprised expression; Star: astronaut, big belly, tooth decay, fantasy. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2019 at in fushun, liaoning province, China, and finished in July 2019 at in fushun, liaoning province China. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: According to the design theme and story, design the characters, print the characters in 3D, make the grinding tools with silica gel, and finally pour in liquid wax, cool with cold water and demould. In the experiment, 58 types of paraffin were used, and the mixed proportion of beeswax and soybean wax was used in the finished product. Candle production technology and process are relatively mature, with low investment cost and high profit. CHALLENGE: Consumer psychology determines sales volume. Children's liking is not the only standard. Their mothers are the main purchasing groups. Their purchasing psychology is worth studying. NAME: Liaoning Shihua University PROFILE: As the first petroleum school of New China, Liaoning Shihua University (LSHU) was founded in Dalian in 1950, relocated to Fushun in 1953 and renamed Fushun Petroleum Institute in 1958. When transferred to the governance of the Liaoning Provincial Government in February, 2000, the institution changed its name to Liaoning Shihua University with the approval of the Ministry of Education (MOE) in February, 2002. In March, 2010, a partnership agreement was signed between LSHU and Liaoning Provincial Government, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (SINOPEC) and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC).With the development for the past 69 years, LSHU has evolved into a comprehensive university, specialized in petroleum and petrochemical engineering with eight well-coordinated disciplines which include engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, education and art. LSHU was graded as excellent in the 2007 MOE Undergraduate Teaching Assessment. Designated by the Ministry of Education, the university is now a training base for high-level ethnic talent and a preparatory base for ethnic undergraduates.
