| DESIGN NAME: Wild Cook PRIMARY FUNCTION: Food Smoking Device INSPIRATION: Designing for people means to solve their problems and difficulties and also to bring beauty, ease and joy into their everyday life. The most important fact in people’s everyday life is food! And how to make it more easy and pleasant. That is what this design is all about. Smoking is the process of flavoring and cooking food. There is no way to make your food smoked in your kitchen without making a huge mess and even if you decide to do it in your backyard, it will still be a mess. To overcome these problems, we thought of an easier, cleaner and faster way that one can use in his or her kitchen. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: There is no way to make your food smoked in your kitchen without making a huge mess.To overcome this problem,designers thought of an easier,cleaner and faster way that one can use in the kitchen.Wild Cook,is a device that can make your food or drink smoked.Most people believe that the only way to make food smoked is by burning different types of wood but the truth is,you can make your food smoked with lots of different materials and create a whole new taste and scent.The designers realized the taste differences around the world and that is why this design is totally flexible when it comes to the matter of usability in different regions.These capsules come in mixed and single ingredients. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The using procedure of this device is fairly simple for everyone with no complications. The designers paid a lot of attention to create a healthy, simple and clean way to design this device which can smoke food and also they focused on the variety of scents that can be provided. Most devices that are used for smoking food and drink are only meant for direct burn of wood by hand and are not clean, also there is a sever limitation of smoke scents and their usage inside the house is not much safe comparing to the presented design because the whole procedure is fully automatic and totally clean. Not to mention that the presented design has much healthier impact because of the smooth burning procedure and the fact that the burn is caused with hot air and not direct fire. It is also important to mention that the recycling process is much easier. Also the variety of choices of smoke scents that one can have while using the presented design is unique. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started on in 2019. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The presented design has two main parts which are the device itself and a capsule that contains natural ingredients with various types. After putting the capsule inside the device, the ingredients of the capsule will be heating up by hot air, the hot air will cause a smooth burn and smoke will be drawn into the pot and you have your meal smoked. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: - TAGS: Food, Smoked food, Smoking device, Smoked drink, Smoke flavor, Smoke scent, Beverage, Smoke, Wild cook, Cook RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In order to develop this design the designers had to do various researches about the current ways people use to smoke their food and also to study about the disadvantages and weaknesses of them to be able to overcome all of them with this presented design. CHALLENGE: The challenge was to find out about different ingredients for the capsules that the designers could use to smoke the food and the fact that the smoke of different ingredients and their combination can create a variety of choices.
