| DESIGN NAME: Nice PRIMARY FUNCTION: E-Sports Venue INSPIRATION: We created a space with a story, its beginning, development and end connecting naturally. We want to tell a story in which a person is waiting for the break of dawn, till the morning light shines over the earth; all living creatures strive for growth with never giving-up spirit and they believe there is a promising future ahead. Straight line symbolizes the first light of morning breaking through night dark and bringing about a new hope, a new start and unlimited power. Irregular figure represents the gentle glistening light of waves in the morning, mysterious, romantic and shiny. Cactus stands for the stubborn vitality of plants, the power of rebirth and the spirit of Esports players who never give up. As a new emerging force of Esports venue in Nanning, Nice Esports Venue was designed to be a shining light with energetic soul. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This E-sport venue with rich content and a multi-sensory experience is different from previous Internet cafes. Its design breaks the order, gives the e-sports venue a different story line, enhances the interactivity between the spaces, and makes the cold competition more warmth. Its design breaks the order, gives the e-sports venue a different story line, enhances the interactivity between the spaces, and makes the cold competition more warmth.We pay attention to the reasonable zoning as well as aesthetics, aiming to highlight the different service characteristics of different areas of the e-sports hall and emphasize the quality and individuality according to regional characteristics, so that customers may have a comfortable and fresh online experience and have more options. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: LED tube represents dawn; straight line symbolizes the first light of morning, a new beginning, unlimited power, and the sense of future. Glass represents glistening light of waves; point-like means that sun is shining on the water surface in the morning , sparkling and gentle; irregular patterns are mysterious, romantic, full of light perception. Golden stainless steels represent explosive light, breaking through the darkness before dawn and bringing light and new hope to the earth. Paint-free board represents the dramatic mountains, continuous, steep and tough, attracting people's conquest. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The area of the E-sports venue is 500 square meters, costing 340,000 yuan for the construction. We had made an economical plan because of the limited funds. The entire space is polygonal, and the entrance is a narrow passage. We arranged the booth area and put the surprise of the competition in the center area. We used hand painted and Sketch up software to complete the effect of the scheme. We paid more attention to the reduction degree, so we required very accurate dimensions in the model rendering. TAGS: cool, special, gorgeousness, strength, rise RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The venue sign march to a different drummer: we used a ray of light to decorate it, meaning the light of hope breaks through dark and brings about a new hope to the earth. Besides the ray of light, we added other futuristic but simple elements with deconstruction and remodeling method, such as triangular pyramid, neat sections and lines, aiming to make the sign cool and full of energy. The inspiration for double-seat area came from mountain, so we decorated wall with triangles arranged to form a mountain shape. We applied flat design to make the mountains look like the peaks rising one above the other in the distance and they are steep enough to attract people to conquer. The ceiling shape in three-person booth area is the recombination of different mountain shapes, which create a clear space that is easy to identify. The division of the modeling wall and the variation of materials make the wall surface textured and have visual change. The semi-circular screen in the e-sports competition area with the reflection of ceiling mirror create a whole round to form a visual impact. The light bars on the outline highlight the beauty of space. The cactus-wrapped competition area gives people a vivid image of the desert. The competition at this area is like a tense moment of survival in the desert, and this design symbolizes the thrill of e-sports. Moreover, cactus also embodies the indomitable competitive spirit. Golden color was used to paint the mountains according to Chinese Theory of Five Elements, which strengthens the stimulating atmosphere. (Gold is extended to everything that has the properties or effects of settlement, killing and convergence in Chinese Theory of Five Elements. Because gold is produced through change. There are very few metals in nature, and most of them are made through smelting. The texture of gold is heavy, and it is often used for killing.) The lounge echoes the theme of mountain, following the abstract shape structure. Warm color soft outfit, such as coffee color walnut and red pillows, embellish the space where in the theme of black and white and gray, adding a bit of living color. The lounge provides players with a comfortable place to communicate and relax after game. The staggered star lights in the open area like the glistening light of waves in the morning when sun shines the water, and at the same time, this design makes the space out of the dull feeling of the orderly arrangement of the seats, and makes the people inside it feel like walking in the future setting. CHALLENGE: We pay attention to the reasonable zoning as well as aesthetics, aiming to highlight the different service characteristics of different areas of the e-sports hall and emphasize the quality and individuality according to regional characteristics, so that customers may have a comfortable and fresh online experience and have more options.
