| DESIGN NAME: Space Stack PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: The unique natural beauty of the site,the owner expects that the interior can present a strong personal style vocabulary,how to present the surrounding scenery into the interior space and echo the outdoor landscape features has become the main concept of this project.Therefore,we simplified the complicated space lines and colors,including the storage room,guest bathroom,bedroom and other entrances with hidden door panels,creating an implicit and simple yet full of tension space atmosphere. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This case is different from ordinary residential projects,which is mainly used as a vacation house when the couple returns to Taiwan.The owners are hospitable and often have gathering party needs,so that this project also needs to be able to accommodate visiting guests.For this reason,by emphasizing the overall space quality just like a boutique hotel,this project can achieve a visually refreshing and comfortable design goal. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The main wall of the living room uses grey marble to accentuate the main visual sense. To keep the façade simple and neat, all electrical cabinet is integrated with the storage room on the backside.On the other hand,the luster texture and reflective characteristic of the stone can also enhance the visual extension and enlarge the sense of space. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Stone, iron, Solid Wood, Glass, Mirror, Parquet Wood Flooring. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 10620mmx20440mmx3280 TAGS: Tags, pressure reducing, art, freedom RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Before the construction design, we proposed two design alternatives, and the main difference is the arrangement of the guest rooms. The second bedroom of option A was originally a multifunctional space that could be shifted into a children’s room in the future, which option B provides hotel room specifications such as dressing rooms, bathrooms, etc., that can be used for overnight accommodation for visiting guests and friends. After doing a detailed discussion with the owner, it is considered that the users who will use it in the next five to ten years will still be mainly adults. As a result, they choose option B in the end. CHALLENGE: The bedroom also continues the natural elements of the public area. Since the client grew up in Indonesia, we use the stone pieces that commonly used in construction as the performance of the bedside façade as the reminiscent of their hometown; with two tailor-made suspended pendant lighting system that creates a soft and warm atmosphere for this rough and primitive aesthetic scene. NAME: YUAN-KING interior design PROFILE: The owner of this case is very thoughtful about the interior design. The owner doesn't want the design of home too popularization. Therefore, for the design requirements of this case, he hopes to have a unique and innovative feeling, and requires that the wall not to be left blank. There must be a special material on the wall. In response to the homeowner’s ideas, the designer looked for a variety of natural materials, using modern style and natural materials to coexist, so that the natural stone in the living room will layout levelly on the wall, and the lighting effect was created by the rough texture of the stone. The visual of the wall surface and the design of the ceiling shape make the living room as an eye-catching point to the open space, so that the space can be diversified and rich, and it will present the strong personal characteristics of the owner. The extremely spacious public areas have been retained, and the dining room, living room and bar counter have been a completely opened area. In order to improve the interaction between friends during the entertainments, the three coexisting areas are designed in a centralized manner to create the intersection of each other. |
