| DESIGN NAME: Thermore PRIMARY FUNCTION: Smart Induction Cooker INSPIRATION: This generation of single birth in China has grown into the main force of society. They usually has loads of work pressures and busy life, which has led to a social phenomenon that more and more young people are seriously lacking in cooking experience and skills.Therefore, Tokit induction cooker pro has found its own position in such a social environment, by adding a variety of functions to reduce the difficulty and let young people gradually master cooking skills. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: TOKIT Smart Induction Cooker Pro is equipped with an innovative scaling system. When it connects to a smartphone, it coordinates with its app which contains 100+ cooking programs. It helps the user control the timing and precise amount when adding ingredients. Thanks to a sensitive temperature probe, it can automatically adjust cooking time and output power to ensure the perfect result. With the help of smart technology, it allows users with less cooking experience to enjoy the fun of cooking. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: TOKIT intelligently matches the cooking curve according to the characteristics of different ingredients to achieve step wise temperature control and restore the original flavor of ingredients. By means of the interplay between an intelligent weighing system and an app, the clearly designed cooker helps users with little experience to make the cooking process easy. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The product was designed starting from late 2017 in Shanghai, China. The duration of this product to took around 15 months. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Technology: Provide users a pleasant and prices cooking journey has been the key that we have been insistently pursuing. The ICV stepless temperature control technology, which has been independently developed for 3 years, it has a unique second-generation temperature sensing probe and intelligent temperature control curve, which provide full power for the improvement of the performance of the thermal furnace. Control: With reference to the traditional fire design principle, the fire power of the cooker is cut evenly and precisely at 99 stops; the engraved knob adjusts the fire power 360 degrees to achieve high-fire and low-fire in 1 second switching Materials: We chose to use pure vermiculite black panel as the heating surface , because of its smooth tactile impression, and a strong density which makes it hard as gem to enhance the longevity of it. Ergonomic design: The sloped panel was designed based on ergonomic principles, and we found the most suitable display angle after having a dozen experiments. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 335mm x 261mm x 74mm TAGS: Smart, user focused, compact, precise control, powerful, ergonomic design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In the process of making user-defined menus, we did countless experiments and collected huge cooking data. Due to China's vast land area, each region has its own unique cooking taste and habits. It is not possible to rely on hardware or software separately ,only the integration of both can provide such services to users. However, our task is to collect these huge data together and provide the simplest and most intuitive data to the users, in order to let them taste exotic flavors at their fingertips. CHALLENGE: In the process of achieving the production of induction cooker, we have encountered some challenges with both software and hardware, including the part of APP user-defined heating mode, choosing the most suitable materials to manufacture ,NTC temperature optimization, weighing correction and the integration of software and hardware.
