PRIMARY FUNCTION: Foldable Phone Packaging
INSPIRATION: Foldable structure is a new tendency of electronic products, more and more of which will adopt this form because of the improvement of screen and hardware. ‘Jane’ is an ancient Chinese book form-Bamboo and wooden slips. The rolling and unrolling structure references at the characteristics of the ancient Chinese book and modern foldable phones. The combination of traditional culture and the advanced technology will be a unique design experience.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Ancient Chinese fonts and traditional book forms, now combine with the latest technology products. Completely paper-based packaging without other materials especially plastic will lead the environmental protection. The user manual is not only covered on packaging surface but also can be detached and rolled up. The wooden and fabric texture will give the packaging more sense of ceremony.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Removable user manual with wood texture wrapped around the surface of box by magnets, after opening the box with tap, products will be arranged in different layers.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in July 2019 in China and finished in December 2019
