DESIGN NAME: Elte Btk Hok
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Identity and Webdesign
INSPIRATION: What inspired the design team were minimalistic brands and websites. Randomly generated squared patterns used in the backround. Navigation tiles applied on the top of every page, which help the user navigate easily on the site. The challenge was to overwrite the structure of the 11-page website based on Ui-Ux criteria to make it more user-friendly and easy-to-use.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The primary goal was to create a unique identity design for Eotvos Lorand University, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Students Union representing the Students Unions values as well as redesigning their already existing website both in a structural and a visual way. By redesigning the old vintage looking logo, a new basis was provided for the renewing identity and online appearance. Firstly the design team overwrote the structure of the eleven page website, then created all the needed visual elements for the webdesign.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: At the top of each page there are navigation tiles that take the user wherever they want to go on the currently viewed site by clicking on them. Compared to the original Elte Btk Hok website, this is the feature that creates a flow experience in the user.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in July 2018, and the website launched in September 2018 in Budapest (Hungary).

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The team needed to determine the direction of design, because the primary task was to redesign their already existing website both in a structural and a visual way. The Blank Design team researched and analyzed the webdesign trends, in addition to this further continuous consultations were needed with the client and several usability tests were conducted to ensure that the final website was easy to use and aesthetically pleasing.
CHALLENGE: One of the biggest design challenges was to create a basic design pattern as a core, then use the created scheme consistently and systematically on every page.
