| DESIGN NAME: Coupe PRIMARY FUNCTION: Kitchen Stool INSPIRATION: In the living space, dining chairs and relaxation sofas have been proposed as necessary furniture already. However, when we analyzing actual behavior, it was found that there were many situations where a chair was required to hold the posture of movement in the middle of standing and sitting. We found the possibility of a high stool that can sit in a posture close to standing. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Wooden high stool to be used primarily for home use. This stool is useful in the middle of a sit and stand. You can use the multi-purpose in a variety of situations. It does not take the place if you put against a wall in a compact, light and even feel free to move to where easy to hold. Height of three types according to the height, fabrics, and leathers, wood can also be selected from five. High stool that can be custom to your favorite specifications. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Use this stool in the middle position of a sit and stand. And it can be used for multi-purpose in various situations. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We used finger joint technology,both strength and slim shape have been achieved. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Dimensions- high:W410mm D310mm H630mm, Middle:W390mm D290mm H580mm, Low:W370mm D270mm H530mm. Wood Materials- Beech, Red Oak, Black Cherry, Hard Maple, Walnut. Upholstery Materials- over 100 types of Fabrics and 16 types of leathers. TAGS: Coupe, Stool, Furniture, Interior, Living, Dining RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We started the research to develop tools and solve the dissatisfaction in everyday life situations and find the needs of people wanting to take a break in everyday life situations. Based on the findings we actively utilized the advanced tensioning technology of wood processing and rounding with the Numerically Controlled machine. We focused on developing eco-friendly production by using the scrap materials in the sofa during the manufacturing process. CHALLENGE: This stool is made with minimal parts and minimal constructs. It was difficult to device those constructs and parts.
