| DESIGN NAME: Punto PRIMARY FUNCTION: Door Handle INSPIRATION: the punto handle comes from a very apprfonded research on historical handles and their shapes. many handles have been analyzed which have had a big formal significance within the development of this item and after attentive sedimentation and overlapping of such shapes i have been able to take the shape of the point. this handle seems always existed in his being and it is just this the goal i was looking for: obtaining a classic form not starting from the classic but from development and a game o UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: the form of the handle in addition to being inspired by the "type" of the handle highlights a very important formal relationship, the geometries and the relationship between the parties are always like ½. the result is unique is almost a mathematical function where with this resulting form the elements that generate it can only be used. report 1/2 has given a good inspiration OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: elementary function of a handle PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: the project had a duration of a year and the research is developed on the formal history research of the handmade object |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: the handle is made in die-cast aluminum or brass molding, in the case of aluminum it is powder coated and enl brass case is cleaned / polished or chrome SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 150 60 50 mm TAGS: simplification of the handle of a door RESEARCH ABSTRACT: my design language is based on the search for the essential and in this case the objective has been centered CHALLENGE: a good result of the project is when the reading by the user is clear, for example a handle must read itself as an object that opens the door and it must be clear how it works. the simplification elaborated on this topic has in my opinion had a very good result ADDED DATE: 2019-11-25 21:02:09 TEAM MEMBERS (1) : robby cantarutti and partners IMAGE CREDITS: orazio pugliese |
