DESIGN NAME: Poznan Marathon Medal
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Presentation
INSPIRATION: The idea to create the animation and design of the medal was 20 years of the history of the Poznan Marathon. The small elements that make up the medal symbolize each year. The medal's lanyard is printed with historical photos from all marathon editions arranged in chronological order.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The original idea of presenting medals for the competitors of the 20 PKO Poznan Marathon. The animation was to encourage registration for the jubilee marathon and run 42.195 km to win a medal.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: A new way of presenting a marathon medal.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in August 2019 and finished in September 2019 in Poznan.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Based on attempts to present the medal in the form of animations started in 2018, we have found that presenting both the medal and the T-shirt for Marathon in the new form of professional Animation that all runners are waiting for positively increases the number of runners. After presenting the Animation with a medal and a T-shirt, the number of people registered in the marathon increased over 15%.
CHALLENGE: The most difficult part of the project is to create a unique animation scenario presenting the ideas of the medal design and the 20 years of the Poznan Marathon placed in it. In addition, a short time for implementation from the script to the finished animation.
